“Fill Us With Wonder”

YouTube link: https://youtu.be/lpFAfdx7lmE (This video is 7 minutes long. I realize that to some, that is a long time for a video such as this. However, that is the point: you have to be still for a few minutes to understand fully; thank you in advance).

I created this video for my senior studio portfolio class (something quick due to Christmas break) as a response/reflection of me discovering these old home videos.

And my greatest curiosity in everyday life (past, present, future) is this: I wonder how many times have I encountered/spoken to Jesus at Walmart, or driving down the road as I saw someone walking home in the rain, or through a friend, a stranger, a family member. Jesus is ALIVE, His Spirit works in + through humans (whether we realize it or not); and He does this so that we might hear and know Him, so that we might recognize Him through the eyes of someone else. We serve an understanding, category-breaking, wonderfully creative and humble God; why wouldn’t He appear to us in unexpected ways/places/people in our everyday lives?

PS: 99% of these video clips were captured by my daddy. Today (12.19.19is his birthday. Dear daddy, thank you so much for pulling out a camcorder for every special event, holiday, and every day in between. Your faith and courage have been the source of life flowing into and over the brim of my heart, inspiring me to reach for the stars and beyond. Thank you for your wisdom, your boldness, your hard work, and for loving me the way you do. Happy birthday Daddy! What a beautiful blessing you are to every person who knows you.

“But blessed [spiritually aware, and favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, many prophets and righteous men [who were honorable and in right standing with God] longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Matthew 13:16-17 AMP
